A call came in from a homie asking if I could hold down a rapper he was helping to co-manage. The was a young talented cat from the Philly area and he was gonna be at a NE Philly hangout spot. The problem was that the spot had no sound rig worth mentioning and they would need someone to bring a rig and spin some tunes. The catch; there would be no pay. Fortunately, it was only for a couple of hours - just short enough to get in and out. Further, I wasn't busy, and I'm always looking to find new places to spin and network so I agreed. Turns out the rapper wasn't just performing a 'show' but was filming for an MTV show and they needed a PA... Lol, no probs same cat on TV same cat on the skreets. Wheres the camera? ~pulls military hat brim low...~ Sound was dope of course; and show came off with no issues. I will say that my two step needs a lil work. Check it
